Background
Designated as “Commercially Important Person (CIP)” by the Government of Bangladesh. He worked in the banking industry in the UK, USA, and Bahrain for 13 years before founding Southtech Limited, which is a CMMI L5 company and one of the largest ICT companies in Bangladesh. His specialties are in Banking, Microfinance, Microinsurance, Financial Inclusion Technologies, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Business Process Engineering.
Achievements
Syed Mamnun Quader began his career in London as a bank management trainee. He founded Southtech Limited in 1996 at a time when there was very little in terms of software development in Bangladesh. Southtech Group today has six entities, two in Bangladesh and four in other countries. He is a well-known
individual in Bangladesh's tech industry and a pioneer. He got the ICT pioneer award recently. He motivates entrepreneurs, and a number of his former employees have gone on to become successful business owners in their own right.
