Background

Dr. Ahsan Habib is a Professor, Selection Grade of BIBM. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Banaras Hindu University of India under BHU Research Scholarship; and accomplished Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Green Banking from Syracuse University, the USA under Senior Fulbright Scholarship. He published over 180 research articles/ publications in national and international journals/books and over 200 features in national daily newspapers. He has teaching experience with IBA and Department of International Business, University of Dhaka; East West University; BRAC University; and the University of Professionals. Dr. Ahsan is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of D.Net, a Member of the ICC Bangladesh Banking Commission; and a Member of the Global Editorial Board of the Asia-Pacific Risk Professional Association (ARPA). He is an Independent Director of IPDC Finance Limited.

Achievements

Professor Shah Md. Ahsan Habib has over 25 years of professional experience in his key research areas including banking operation, SME financing, trade financing, inclusive finance, green banking, and financial crime and malpractices. He is having teaching experience with the Institute of Business Administration

[IBA] and the Department of International Business of the University of Dhaka; East-West University; Brac University and the University of Professionals. Dr. Ahsan has over 180 research papers/studies/publications/chapters in different national and international journals/books. He is the author/lead author of the books ‘Financial Globalization’, ‘Environmentally Responsible Banking in the USA’, ‘Towards Knowledge Society’, ‘Green Banking in Bangladesh’, ‘Trade Services by Banks in Bangladesh’, published by the national and international publishers. Dr. Ahsan is also a Member of the Governing Body and Chairmen of the Executive Committee of D.Net; a Member of the ICC Bangladesh Banking Commission; and a Member of the Global Editorial Board of the Asia-Pacific Risk Professional Association (ARPA).
